Who else besides HeliDirect has Gaui 550 canopies. HD took what they had left and put them on ebay. I can't find anyone with the selection (or close) to what they had. At least the white FG blanks.

Has anyone...or, can you order from Fusuno directly? They won't even answer/respond to emails...

I'd like to know also. Disappointed with HeliDirect but can understand that Gaui is in some competition with Sonix who makes the HDX and Outrage helis that HeliDirect carries. The Fusuno site is strange because you can set up an account but there is no way to place an order and they didn't respond to my email either.

Allerc has some but they're not the Fusuno's. There's a site in France that has Fusuno canopies (some I've never seen on the Fusuno site) but from the Google translation of their shipping page, it appears they only ship to France or the EU.

You might want to drop them an E-mail or if you're able--I think their E-mail form only likes .com addresses... my .net address would not work.

I have offered to buy a ship on one of the Fusuno canopies from the French site for Scott, and will happily do so for anyone else. I am not out to make any money, just not lose any. In the other thread I explained that shipping from UK to USA would be £9, about $15, so $40 or $45 for the canopy, plus $19 shipping to me plus another $15 to ship to you - not cheap !!!.

If someone does want to do this then you should hopefully be able to order and pay the shipping on the site and just put my address for delivery, or I can pay it all after you paypal me the whole lot to me.

Why am I offering to do this ???? Just a pay-it-forward type of thing - I get a lot of enjoyment and help from this site (yes even from the sheep-shaggers and Jungle-dwellers):thumbup::thumbup:

Can't blame HD too much, the Gaui 550 designs kinda sucked compared to the other models.....except the Viking Racer one. At this point, I would settle for some FG blanks.

Wow! those are some nice canopies. Are we the "Red-headed step-child" here in the USA, that we don't seem to have access to those??!!??

Do I get the impression that the H550 just isn't as popular in the US as the rest of the world and that's why there aren't as many US suppliers that are willing to carry all the Gaui and aftermarket products???

Maybe so... for an old phart newbie like me the 550 is a perfect size. Big enough to see and small enough to fit a couple in my car.

And the price in comparison to other 500-600 birds isn't bad either.

Well, I'm old and I fart, and I got mine (just arrived today) for all of the exact same reasons. So I wasn't knocking the H550 at all, just wondering if too many other US buyers are spending the big bucks on the Aligns, Outrages, Protos, etc. (not knocking any of those either). My guess is that the profit margin on the Gaui has to be lower for the suppliers too so I'm sure they would rather sell the other brands.

Has anyone tried an Outrage 550 canopy on an H550? Wondering if it might be a closer fit than a TREX 600 canopy.

I have an Idea on trying to get some of these http://www.makrisrc.com/Aeromodelism...ricane-550.htm (http://www.makrisrc.com/Aeromodelisme_Canopy_Fusuno_Hurricane-550.htm) to a US retailer. I need to know how many people will commit to buying one or more. I myself (if this works) am going to order two painted and two unpainted.

I really need to find out how much "serious" intrest there is.....the more the better!

Let's see...45.00 EUR is about $67 plus 30 to ship.......Almost $100....ouch! That's double..:( I was getting my hopes up for a minute.

Yep... international shipping is waaaaaaaaay expensive in France :(
For example, shipping my DX7 to UK was at least $30, and shipping my fried ESC to Gaui in Taïwan (for an exchange) was around $50 if I remember correctly.
There is no one to compete with our Post so they kinda take advantage of it.

No problem...we'll just have to keep looking. I'm sure someone will report it here if more sources show up....I know I will (at least after I buy some for myself!! :YeaBaby:).

I'd buy one! Heck I'd pick it up if you had a hobby shop! Just drove 70 miles one-way to get a Hyperion lipo last week. I made a road trip out of it. Great day except for a bit of traffic in Downtown LA. Now that we got the figures from Europe, I don't think it's such a good deal anymore. With the prices being around $100 from Europe, I'd rather just have CanopyFX make me a custom one for $115 shipped.
