does anyone have this heli ?? Its in the 400 class and aparently is labeled a T-REX beater , or successor . comes with CF side frames aluminum head parts and tail parts , also CF main blades + tail blades

Its a dope looking heli Id like to get my hands on . too bad it doesnt look like anyone is selling it here in north america . but you can get it on ebay or some other internet spots .

Hi Steve,
i own this heli.... it is a superb heli, check-out my gallery, it is on the left most. You can change the control responds by varying the ratio of cyclic input to the pitch... i put mind on the higher side....

cool , I love the looks of this heli , how does it hold up to wear and tear , have you crashed it , is it easy to repair ??

no i haven't crash it yet.... the reason is the parts(most of it) are not compatible with Trex, you have to get the original parts all the time. So i take it easy on it... i've got the trashing heli.... my HDX and Trex...
this heli got the smoothess tail drive systems that i've seen in this class, but if you've got problem with it you have to remove the main shaft to work on it cause the driving for tail is direct(have a smaller gear on the same shaft) unlike Trex which have another tail drive pully which is independent.....

If I were in the market for a 400 sized heli, I would have the Dragonus2 Pro at the top of my list. I only know this model from the parts I have purchased for it. The quality of those parts is 1st rate.

So why am I buying parts for a heli I don't own? Let me 'splain. I have a HeliMax MX400 (same as an ARK X400). Because of a design flaw in the [M]X400, I changed the swash plate to different type. (120' CCPM with the center servo link in back and the antirotation pin in front.) See this photo:

I tried a Microheli T-Rex swash with the pin opposite the ball link. That swash wore out in about 40 days. That is, it had a bunch of play. I bought the Dragonus swash as seen in the photo and have been running it for over 100 days. There is no more play now than when it was new.

Recently I bought some tail parts for the Dragonus to use on the aforementioned MX400. The quality of those tail parts is also excellent.

My experience with those parts and the great looks would push me to the Dragonus2 Pro as my small electric of choice. You should certainly plan on down time while waiting for parts though. This would be a good cadidate as a primary machine with a used cheap-Rex as a backup.

Ive thought about buying it as a showpiece mostly , and to fly liesurly around . I wouldnt want to be crashing it , as much as my T-REX . I cant handle too much downtime

Hi Umran,

I don't think that is completely true.
I had to replace my boom due to a tail/blade strike (Hard landing) :shock: , and did not have to remove the main. I found it quite easy.
The only time would be to replace the belt (as far as working on the tail goes).
