Thanks for the replies on batteries/CG.

Couldn't one move the tail servo and adjust the linkage to get their setup spot on (provided they aren't totally out of whack on CG)?l

I have 600N and because the tail servo is not on the tail boom it is not an option...

Okay, just bought 3 qty DS610s, a BLS251 for my gy520 and a 4025 Scorpion 630. Now I just need to buy some lipos and a CC HV Ice80 and I should be ready to go!

Question, is the 600ESP head 100% compatible with the 600N head? I'm thinking so, but not totally sure...

I'm guessing when Align refines their flybarless setups a bit more, I might make my ESP flybarless and keep the head as a spare for my 600N...

I think the N (not NSP) has the same head as the older 600E.. Don't know for sure. There are some minor differences between the 600E and ESP head.

A very different build...

But may I ask why you chose to use the front nitro servo mount??

i use the servo mount so that i can mount all electronics on it in front& at the same time replace it with lipo at the back for perfect COG..
1) lipo secure in the frame..if use KDE bottom frame the front lipo maybe exactly the same length as KDE bottom frame so also will secure..
2) the relocation of ail&pitch servo so i can use KDE pinion support
3) servo centering now 90deg perfect like T700
4) that is 3600mah 30C maximum 4500mah can be insert to the frame
5) the modify servo mount replacing standard plastic lipo tray, rx tray&gyro tray
6) bring gyro&tail servo to front (clean look at tailboom) also for COG
7) i just like the trex700N to E conversion look..hehe expecially lipo placement..

Yesterday me and a mate of mine transformed my stock Align T-rex 600ESP to a 12S beast! For the setup I chose for the Scorpion 4025-630kv motor with a CC-HV85 speed controller. I'm still expecting four Turnigy 3000mAh 6S 40C LiPo packs and I will be using a 12 tooth pinion.

First of all I took the helicopter apart, giving me the opportunity to give it a good clean. Then we mounted two specially cut metal frames to either sides of the carbon frame, as a guidance for the jigsaw. The cutting went very easily and each side only took a couple of minutes.

After cutting we smoothed out the edges with a file and used some fine sandpaper for the finishing touch. The two frames look great, very pleased with the result!

Like most of you we also mounted the third bearing block underneath the main gear. For the alignment of the holes that needed to be drilled, we also used a mockup. The drilling went fine and everything was aligned perfectly!

The plastic tail boom mount bushes where replaced by aluminum ones, making the whole helicopter a lot stiffer.

The battery tray needed to be rotated so that the new battery's fit. This was done by the old fashion way, a piece of tape on the carbon frame, a bit of measuring and drilling both of the holes.

Last but not least the we also changed the stock plastic tail rotor holders for the metal ones, a bit disappointed in the play on these.

I can't wait till the battery's arrive, I want to get this baby airborne!

Interesting, you'd like Ady 600 nitro to electric conversion.

Could feel a little heavy with 3600Mah packs but 4500Mah packs would be better suited for a light 700e with a bigger disc.

i'm using 4035-560KV that why thinking to use 3600mah instead of 3000mah hopefully will be OK..sure planning to stretch it to use 700 blade..

Sambest- NICE PHOTOS and documentation!

HOLY SMOKES, I didn't know you had to take out that much of the frame for the Scorpion motor?!?!

I sure hope I can do it as nicely as you did....

If you haven't changed the shaft on the 630 to the 6mm one, you should do it soon. Mine snapped today.

Another trick, if you don't have a nice metal jig, is just use blue masking tape to outline the frame where you need to cut. I did this, and just used a dremel (and a steady hand) to get the same result.

Same thing happened to mine shortly after I got it. I sent it in to innov8tive and asked them to replace it with a 6mm and they did it at no charge.

So you'll be needing the new Align mod 1 gear for the T-Rex 700 as the 4035-560kv is a known gear stripper on the stock mod 0.7 gears.

Shame, my stock 5mm shaft is still going strong with 350+ flights.

What your flying style? Are you using the governor?

I don't fly crazy 3D...more like light 3D. I was in the middle of full collective rainbows at the time. I don't use the governor.

just MAIDEN my trex600 12s today..very supprise 6min hover charge back 1200mah only (Lipo felt not use-same as before flight, ESC warm a bit&motor hot a bit but can be touch) and after that put a set of lipo for 6min mild 3D 2200mah charge back...COG if perfect...for me 3000mah 40C is the best felt a bit heavy for 3600mah but enough power...

I see most of you guys are using the cc pro bec. I have recently installed one on my stock 600esp and have also wired one into my 12s 600esp (nearly finished, thanks for all the info) . I have around 20 flights with no issues. I just read that some guys have fried quiet a number of these becs. Should I be worried? Change it out for the wr Herc? I just don't want to smash my heli because of a $40 unit.
Cheers
