Fuel Magnet

Will the fuel magnet work with gas or is the foam not gasoline safe ? Reason as I was dfueling the Spectra today I started sucking air about a the 1/4-1/3 fuel, clunk line is OK it has to be the stock Spectra clunk.

If in doubt, replace the stock Spectra clunk. It works the same as the Fuel Magnet and is heavy so that it works much better with the Tygon type tubing. This clunk should always get all of the fuel, just as the Fuel Magnet.
