ClearView version 4.48
I have been trying to get the TRex450XL (not the Easy version) to actually fly in ClearView. I noticed that the lift drops way off when the main rotor disk is not horizontal. This is a big problem as it makes turns and funnels nearly impossible.
It turns out there is a setting that helps maintain lift when the main rotor disk is at an angle to the horizon--such as when doing sweeping turns. The setting is: 'deltaAngle 15.0' (default). Up that setting to 50.0 and the T-Rex will almost fly close to the real thing.
There are other flight problems I am still working on. Alas, I don't know the flight characteristics of other models so, The T-Rex is the only model I feel good about tweaking.
