My problem right now is ,

Im using a GWS 5 A ESC for my tail motor , it needs to intitialize on startup , this means it needs to see a minimum voltage signal coming from the reciever just like the main motor ESC does (low throttle) so why is it when I tried to test set up a gy401 HH gyro it wouldnt work , the GWS ESC wouldnt initialize because there is no way to give the ESC a minimum signal with the HH gyro sitting there giving signals , right now I have to give the ESC a minimum signal manually ( on startup ) by giving full left rudder to essentially turn the tail function off this lets it initialize . Im using a G190 at the moment and so with it, as long as the heli sits there on the ground the signal from the gyro is zero I can manually give low signal , the tail ESC initializes and I can then fly away , silly problem i think , I want HH , I hope sombody understands this

So if I understand this correctly you need to power up your heli w/ gy 401 in HH mode for it to arm properly, then switch your gyro from your TX to regular mode to arm your speed control then switch your gyro back to HH mode. You should be able to do it from your TX gyro switch.
