The pinion may be different - look closely at the gear teeth spacing.
The mod .4 versus mod .5 thing mentioned in another thread in this forum.
I was talking to a buddy today about his T250 and he noted my gaui
drive gear had smaller teeth.

Worst case - get a different pinion.

I think it's mod .4 on T-Rex and its clones:

I'm planning to put my spare 5600kv into HK250GT, which should be here by this weekend.

HXT900 for cyclic and MKS DS480 for rudder.
I'm keeping the parts cheap so I can use the 250 clone as stick-banging heli, and keep my EP200 nice in tact.

regarding mod.5 vs mod.4:

the gaui motor has a 2.3mm shaft, and the good news is that there are lots of .5mod pinion sizes out there for a 2.3mm shaft size. you ahould have no trouble finding the tooth count you need.

I've spent good part of yesterday fitting parts into HK250GT.
10T pinion from Gaui (parts 901021) fit the setup pretty nicely, however I needed to do some mod to mount the Gaui motor.
I've shortend the motor shaft by around 2mm since it was touching the servo, and widen the motor mount screw holes tiny bit.
I have to say that T-rex type frame isn't as nice to work with as EP200EX frame, it kinda feels little claustrophobic in fitting all the parts.
