Hey guys,
I am currently flying a Trex SE and have always wanted a raptor. My question is I have an O.S. 32SX i believe (brand new) and was wondering if this engine would be sufficient to fly the rap30. I was also looking at the rap 50 or even the new E Raptor 620 coming out, but am on a college student budget so I dont know if that will happen. I would be happy with just having a raptor period, I am still a beginner and cannot fly 3D yet, however hope to someday (soon hopefully). I figured since i had the engine lying around it would be cheaper to go the 30 route. Any advice would be great! :D

Since you are on a budget, go for the Rappy 30v2, beautiful heli, though people seem to get over them, and those who do recommend you to bite the bullet. and just get a 50, it'll save you money overall in the future, my advice: save up for a 50, sell ur os 32 on ebay/helifreak :D

Hi Bun,
Your OS 32SX has more than enough power to fly a Raptor 30 V2. I have one myself and it flies excellent, loops, rolls etc.

Is it possible to use the OS 37 on a R50?

the OS 37 would be a bit week to spin the larger blades i would think.

If you fly the 30 V2 for awhile you can later convert it to a 50. The conversion kit is about $100 plus you need the engine.
