I currently have a V2 Raptor .30 that I would like to put CF blades on front and rear. What blades does everyone reccommend? I just do sport flying and will move into beginner 3D sooner or later.

I would recomend cheap mavericks or maverick pros. You won't be able to appreciate expensive blades to their furthest. Also when you crash which will happen it won't cost as much and hopefully your total repair bill will be less than 100 USD. Then after you can do light 3d move to something nicer. I like to try to keep to one type of blade as when I crash usually only one breaks. Couple to boken sets rebalance and theres money saved. When tail blades are purchased which should be 85-90mm be sure to also upgrade the tail, It is a cheap part and could save a potentially expensive crash.

And what do you mean by upgrade the tail?

Main blade size 550mm
The stock tail rotor hub is known to fail causing a blade to detach usually providing no or nill tail control as the second blade usually flies off a few seconds later from imbalance. get the stainless steel hub replacing the stock aluminum one. The problem with the tail hub is that the set screws are also used to hold the tail blades on. After a little bit of decay of the hub caused by the steel srew to alluminum hub the stress is too great for the hub to support the force of a set srew and the cintrifigul foree of the tail blades resulting in the scenario above. There are multiple threads on the subject so you can do more research which there happens to be a lot of.

OK thankx, I found the part. A cheap piece of insurance. Is there anything else like that tail hub that is a weak part that should be replaced? Also are the stock wood blades and all the main rotor components rated for 100% engine throttle? I normally for playing around had the throttle maybe at like 50-60% and then I went to stunt mode and set the throttle at 80% and the blades were really cruising. Im not used to what the gas one seems like when throttled up.

Depends on what RPM you get at full throttle :-). I don't think the wood blades are safe at high RPM, say over 1750 or so, so I would definitely recommend carbons for safety. Not to mention how much more responsive your heli will be.
