I finally got my Predator finished. Just finished painting it last week and put a multigov on it. Now I'll see if it flies better with paint and the multigov. The multigov is easy to setup and the Bob Li has excellent costumer service.

Predator as equipped:

OS 70
James Oneal modified carb
Rototech 690
9.3 ratio
Gryo 401
Multigov

Guys,

I've just ordered one. I will be using the Z231 modded by TRM on it. With so many horror stories around vibration related damages.... Can you guys give me some recommendations as to which parts typically cause the problem? If there is something that should be swapped out immemdiately, what are they?

Your suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

It's mostly accurate assembly and techniques. First, make sure the runout at the top of the fan hub is .0015" or less, and then don't do as the instructions say, red locktite the fan to the crankshaft and reall tighten the bolt holding it on. Then when you install the clutch into the fan hub, make sure the runout at the torrington start shaft bearing is also .0015" or less. Also use red locktite between the fan hub and the clutch, but only use blue locktite on the clutch bolts. If the fan and clutch are not dialed in right, it will shake bad.
