I'll repost this in the battery forum ( I think there is one ? ) .
I'm posting here because my problem is when Im charging my thunder power 3 Cell 2100 mAh packs which I use with my T-REX .

what Im using :

Celectra Li-Po Charger from E-Flight it requires a 12 V DC source . its celectable for 1 - 2- 3 cell lithium packs and also selectable charge rates from 250 ma - 500 mA - 1 A - 1.5 A - 2.0 A . it charges one battery at a time , I have 2 of them . it has an indicator light and a tone alarm which notifies you of charge completion or errors .

I use a 12 V 20.0 A DC power supply to run them when Im at the house .

I also use the Thunder power cell balancer .

charging at 1 C for a 2100 mAh battery pack 3 cell would be 2.0 A right .
I set the cell count for 3 cell set the charge rate for 2.0 A and it chould be done in about an hour correct ?
Well it seems that if left alone to charge at that setting for 10 min or so it starts beeping and flashing , its 2 beeps followed by repeated flashing that does not stop . the battery is not charging at this point and its deffinatly not done . to remedy this I have to turn off the power to reset the Celectra charger , change the charge rate to 1 .0 A and it will chage uninterupted for the duartion of the charge but it takes 2 hours ( too long ) . My 1320 mAh 3 cell packs for my blade cp charge at 1.0 A ( roughly 1 C ) without any errors and they're done in an hour .
Whats going on here , my flight times are roughly 7 - 8 min of what you might call sport flying , no 3D just circuits and eights .
