What do you guys think of running 12s in the Razor. Is it worth it ?
How would flight times and performance be impacted ?
Would a power Jazz ESC be required at that voltage ?

The average current draw would be lower. This would get you max
cycles on the lipo........yes ?

hey Clint , some good fling forsure ,
" lay it down ole southern friend " lets see "som-mo-Smack"
Ultraviolet, yes the average current draw is less , and battery temps will be lower , as well as the motor , well , its all about what motor you pick though!
you will need a 12s controller , the jazz 55-12-32 wont cut it , to much voltage , the schulze 55 32 will handle 11s , " thats here say though"
then theres the CC HV controllers , if they can get one to hold up , then that might be a choice , also if you choose the actro motor , like the 24-4 or 24-5 , you can use the actronics 120 , its good for 12s . the schulze 40-160 ,I been useing in my Ion , TO BIG :?
the Jazz big block , I got an email saying they reduced the weight some more , so that might be a choice , I got one coming , been saying that for about 6 month :badair:
other than that , I have my Razor setup on 12S , flys great , long flights low temps , motor is about as hot as Clints 45-08 setup on 10s , Im using the 45-06, headspeed the same , flight time , 5 min used around 2800 ma off a 12s 3850 Thunder Power ,

Ultra, I watched Clint, Bert and Matt fly these this weekend all on 10S setups they had plenty of Juice even after 6 minutes, the power of these machines are insane, I didnt see any bog down in any conditions.

No it will come fully upgraded ;) that's why it is going to be around $600. For example: It comes with the top of the line programmable head.
In speaking with the MA folks they are working VERY hard with there suppliers to keep the high MA quality standards yet keep parts as inexpensive as possible.

hey , no word about the MXR yet ? seams like the same thing from what I heard a week ago , waiting no all the parts to arrive .
About my MXR , I tried 3 motors so far, 24-4 geared 10.3 to 1 and the kontronics 45-08 which acted about the same power wise
and 45-06 on 12 S was by far the best combo yet for the power heads that like blade ripping , gut slinging , blade popping action , havent got a Neu 1515 , but everyone knows I really favor the actros , I do know actro pumps out some great power, it seams the 24-4 pumps out better in the heavier helis for some reason like the Ion and the Joker, but heres something to run across most mines when thinking about useing the actros , Something I wanted to try , but my time is getting close to the end because of winter is here, I been flying in low 20s trying my best to fly as much to have good input on how this machine runs ,
I want to try a 24-3 geared around 12.5 to one , I do know this motor pumps out SOME power , I did run it on a Ion 10 to 1 , Clint test ran it at 100% on my Vstabi Ion at MO event the first of June. But this motor was suppose to be a 24-4, no stickers , bought it in a Ion package deal , but anyway , it spun the head useing 690 around 2600
Clints first words was" Oh-MY-God" motor rpms was the same as my 45-06 on 12s or alittle under than the 45-08 which runs close to 30000 or a tad more.
the Schuze 40-160 didnt have any problems switching the motor like everyone thought would be a problem , but useing a Kontronics esc might be ????????? but the power band for the actros run best at its max rpm rating, 25000 , thats where the 32-3 runs best in the Ion.
But I wish I could try it out , but I just cant , this is an option for yall.
the 24-4 cant keep up with a 1515 Nue , but I do bet the 24-3 would

I have been running the 4350's and they pull like no tomorrow but this past weekend I got some new 3700's and man it is a different heli at 6 oz lighter...........I like it lioght for some stuff and heavy for others. I am still getting around 6 agressive minutes with the 3700 as it is lighter. I am running the Jazz at 70 and 75% and I am seeing battery temps at 115 to 120 and the speed control at 110` and the hottest I have seen the motor was 135.
The kit is getting close for release so everyone decide what setup they want to run.

Confession:
I flew 5 back to back hard 6 min flight today on my Razor...........everything is matched so well so there is no waitng between flights.............got to love it. I have also added more pitch and it is now faster than in videos, I will try to shoot a new vid soon.
