Hi All,

I have a LiPo gaurd device which, sounds an alarm when the battery pack drops below a certain voltage.

It has two wires coming out of it. One posative and one negative. The instructions say that the device must be connected in parallel to the ESC. obviously not across the battery. :bomb:

So do I connect the posative wire from the LiPo Gaurd to the posative input wire to the ESC (from the bat), then connect the negative wire from the LiPo Gaurd to the negative ESC output wire (to the motor) :?:

Or is it different? I really dont want to fry my JAZZ.

Thanks in advance.

Parallel IS across the battery. Connect the red wire to the battery positive,
and connect the black wire to the negative side of the battery. When the
voltage drops the lipo alarm will start to scream like an unpaid wench. :D

Ok i will give it a try. I will connect it to the corresponding input wires on the ESC though since i will be changing batteries regular. Do you have a LiPo gaurd set up like this too?

Thanks

You are spot on mate - Ultraviolet didn't mean use the battery wires (That would work, but you'd need a lot of lipos guards lol).

Here it is:

Heli with NO battery connected.

ESC - 3 wires to motor - IGNORE
ESC - 2 wires to battery connector solder your lipo guard wires to these - red to red, black to black.

Some people solder the leads to the battery connector contacts - this of course involves removing existing heatshrink from the battery connector. This is the best practice.

I'm lazy - I stripped small bits of insulation from the cables near the plug and soldered onto there.

Thanks guys. Problem solved. Will get that done. Its a lot simpler than I thought.

P.S How cool is this community website. I have never even flown a Heli before and managed to get my T-REX flying and hovering great, just using the info I researched from this site.
