Well darn it I crashed Sunday :(
My fault as I dumb thumbed it in.... Went the wrong way with pitch while doing multiple rolls from inverted flight.
Anyway it went in HARD and I though for sure I wasted it good. Everyone RAN over to see the damage and said the crash looked SPECTACULAR. When I got back to the bench and started to evaluate I couldnt believe it. Either I was lucky or this is one tuff heli!
Main shaft is good and the sucker went in inverted and bounced TWICE! Spindle is also still OK.
Actualy damage:
Main gear
Boom
Blades
Flybar
2 bent screws on the seesaw mixer arms and possible bearing replacement on those.
Dinged up wind shield on the canopy
I also sheared off one of the screws holding the CF vertical fin on the tail case. I had to drill out the screw but others may have to buy a tail case should this happen to them.
Also watch out for the hyperion motor can slipping on the shaft. Inspection showed this had dropped I guess due to the crash. I think I am going to put flat spots on the shaft.
So all in all a cheap crash :)
