Won't have the website done until tomorrow. Here's some teaser shots:

As I said before, this model will have some features you've never seen. Here's one - the model is based on the new vari-mount chassis. The motor can be installed with the cylinder facing backwards.......or forwards. In fact, you can change it in about 20 minutes. No additional parts are needed.

The model will be sold with NO motor. The motor in these pictures is the Zenoah G231.

There are included mounts to make the std pull starter permanently mounted or removeable. I'd suggest you start it with a spin starter using a pro-flex starter wand.

CRAP! Now I know I will not be getting any sleep tonight thinking of the possibilities.

I can already see myself sitting in front of the 'puter waiting

Anyone want to buy a Sceadu 50 RTF? I need to fund one of these bad boys!

Yep a Fury with a gasser in it....:D
Now we just need a price and availability date.:D
I see a couple days of overtime in my future. :D

Carey which engine is in the prototype?
Also which start system is it using? The stock pull starter or the MA removable one?
We must have ANSWERS not teasing photographs. :D

Thanks

damn I hope they beefed up the control rods as the stock rods on a fury are soooo whimpy...

Whats the advantage to having a forward facing engine? Or rear facing engine? What's the dissadvantages to either?

What pipe is on this one?

I noticed the fuel tank is moved, why?

The pushrods that come on the Extreme, Tempest and the new gasser are 2.6 mm. They are more than durable enough for the application. I believe the plan is to have the new gasser available before mid August.

Muffler - this is an optional Hatori muffler designed specifically for this model and the Zenoah G23/231/26 motors.

There aren't any "disadvantages" to moving the motor. Rotating it changes the CG of the helicopter which some people like to alter for their flying styles. With the tank in the back, the CG stays more consistent throughout a run of fuel.

The fuel tank can be run in the front or back (depending on motor direction) and actually with the motor facing forward you can run tanks in the front AND back for those applications that you want to carry a LOT of fuel.

All of this is about making the model tunable to many purposes and flying styles.

I'd like to see a pic of the forward facing engine with canopy on - seems like you'd have a rather large hole in the middle of the canopy on the air filter side... Maybe it will look better than I'm thinking it will, but the rear facing setup looks pretty cool. Who are we kidding...I NEED ONE, BAD!!

It does require some additional canopy modifications with the front facing engine (although its not as serious as you might think). Tim is painting up a couple of canopies, one for each configuration. You'll see them later

Tom

you may note from the picures that there is a stator gator on the model. All the testing has been done using one and it works great. This will be a recommended option
