I just acquired a 500T and I'm having a little trouble. The problem is that the gyro is kind of "fighting back" my own command, making my heli rotate very slowly. I looked in its manual and asked some friends but none have any idea of what's wrong. :?

If you have dual-rates set to something, then put it back to 100% for now. That alone might fix your problem.

But if it doesn't, then increase your endpoints for the rudder channel.

Whe I used the G500T my endpoints were set to +/- 75 so that it would piro slower. It would piro rather fast if I set it to +/- 100.

Also, keep in mind that the higher gain you set, the slower your piro rate will be for a given rudder ATV value.

Sounds like you are trying to set your travel with the end points instead of the gyro.

Also crank up the gain all the way in Heading Hold mode and watch the servo, if it drifts slowly add subtrim until the servo stays put.
