14mz and gyro setup

ok first thing that was wierd was having the gyro gain on ch3

How do I setup the gain adjustments, it is a GY401

I just do FF and auto, I cant think of any reason to not have AVCS on all the time but how do you adjust it.

I know the gyro page is the key but I need help

in the RATE 1 section, what do I put? for type I think it should be GY and for Rate it should AVCS I think and the % at what I don't know yet

Anyways I am lost

AVCS and the 401 should be happy at 37% with the 14MZ

I run HH most of the time as well, so that setting should give you a solid red light and good hold.

I am surprised tha the servo does not move much when I move the tail like when it is not in HH mode

You should get full movement in normal or HH. The difference should only be return to center on stick release on normal and hold when in heading hold.

I think I found the issue I set a swithc setting in the gyrop page and this was causing the gyro to not repsond. I set it to NULL and it responds properly
