New Guy Here! First Post
What would be a good electric micro heli to get after i venture from the E-flite Blade CX? Also, where is a good place to get a bigger capacity pack then the 800mah that comes with the CX? I know that a bigger battery means more weight therefore wont be as snappy or as quick, But im looking for Runtime
Maybe a E-flite CP Pro? Can fly inverted and has hopups available

How about a TREX? Lots more capable and it will be a long time before you need to upgrade again.

I have a blade cp pro. But it I had it to do over again I would buy the slightly bigger TREX. Much more stable and easier to fly by far.

Get both, get a used Blade CP off of e-bay for about $100 and thrash the hell out of it learning to hover and fly. Then get the T-Rex and see how much better it handles, you will already have learned the basics with the blade and won't be so prone to crash the much more expensive t-rex. You already got a good headstart by using the CX, very good for learning orientation, but not so hot for learning to hover as the cx hovers with no inputs, but the Cp and T-Rex need inputs on the cyclic all the time to stay in a good hover. Anyway you do it, im sure youll have alot of fun.

I started with a Blade CP last year and early on found it to be quite squirly, however I persisted and (in conjunction with a good measure of sim time) found that later on I was easily able to hover a much more stable glo powered Hawk Pro .
Ive read forums where pilots argue the Blade CP is not the best choice for a beginner....and thats fair comment.......all I can tell ya is, it worked out fine for me. Personally, I thought learning to cope with an extra degree of difficulty with the Blade paid dividends in the long term,.
