Sorry, I just have to say it. This thing is great. Excellent quality as usual from MA. I recently switched to the higher gear ratio (lower head speed), and what a difference. I am getting 13+ minutes of FF and Hovering and today flew as hard as I could for 11 min and still only took 5800ma to full charge. :D The Orbit Pro is also great- well worth the $$$$.
It is SOOOO Smooth- I love it.

I second that Shannon; I now have 233 flights between my two Ions, and one very minor crash. Every thing is working great. I did not think I would enjoy hovering this model because of the high head speed and what results in basically a one speed set up but it is a joy to hover, it’s locket in and easy to control even with it’s high head speed 1800+ at 80% and nothing vibrates, the fins and canopy just sit there! No maintenance has been required yet either, I have not even re oiled the main gear sprag, it is not throwing oil out so I suspect it is still in there! I have even noticed there is almost no where in the tail drive train either (no lash in the system) a glow model with this number of flights would be puking oil from the sprag and there would be lash in the tail drive, just a few more things that the vibration and power pulses are not killing on this model!!
Keep us posted on the Astro chargers that you sent to TP, I have still had no trouble with any of my two sets of batteries using the Astro chargers. The Orbits look great and work great to but so long as my Astros are working so well as they have been I will continue. :)

The Astro 109's checked out fine. I think the batt probs I had my of had something to do w/ the gear I was running and the way I was flying. Learning Tic-Tocs and the like-- lots of current draw. No Sure. With the new gear and the new charger-- no problems.
Also, you should try a GV-1. I hover at 1600 and 3D at 1900. Works fine.

Honestly Shannon is very happy with his Ion-X
I have known him for 20 years and he as "Happy as a little girl running though the woods" with his E-Heli
I'll have one of these when the new house is done
