Sure will. The standard JR plug that comes with Reflex will work with a DX6.

No idea. Can you post a photo ?
For JR it should be a standard (2.5mm?) mono-audio jack.
Some people have reported problems with helihobby shipping the wrong item and then being tardy about fixing the problem.

Sounds weird. By the way, you cannot normally order the Reflex/XTR cable alone. The XTR cable is what you purchase when you order the product, the software is free.
The standard cable has a USB connector at one end, a black plastic box containing the interface electronics and JR plug on the other end. It doesn't sound like that's what you obtained. Can you provide a link to the helihobby product item so we can see what it is ?
Hmmm, just took a look, was it this $14.99 replacement cable: http://www.helihobby.com/html/reflex3d.html#PART0060020
I do not see how that can be used. Do you have the original Reflex cable complete with the interface electronics ? If so, maybe if you open it up you will find that the cable from the Tx is actually terminated inside that box with a RJxx telephone style socket and can be replaced with the item you purchased.
If you never purchased Reflex for around USD$189 and don't have the original cable, then this $15 item won't get Reflex working for you anyway.

but i just realized the usb cable goes straight into the socket on my radio..
But i'm not sure how to set it up or if that's possible given that i dont have that interface box.
