I am aware that the 700 uses 4.95 balls...
Actually, I asked Quick UK directly and they said NO, their links are not a direct replacement for Aligns links, they sell matching balls for their links.
I updated your thread here with info.

And more bad news, even if you decided to use their balls for the fusion they dont sell 2.5mm versions that Outrage is using. I did ask if they were planning on making any in that size as they now seem to be selling Outrage.

actually thats right i remember now awhile back that you should use there balls i even bought there 4mm stand ones that that i never opened cause the threads are way to big and 4mm standoff was more then i liked...... the only ones that would work with the fusion are these cause they have 2mm screws but they seem too short of a standoff

Yes, but those wont work for any of the swash balls or the control levers, they all are threaded 2.5mm...and the rest are all 2mm, servo horns mainly and the main blade grips.
Sadly, if they had went with a beefier 3mm that would be no problem but I dont have the balls to drill them out and tap 3mm. I am sure I would end up destroying something, or maybe lack of material around the hole..

I hate when companies make a great product useless to so many because of seemingly proprietary size or format.

BTW..Mikado balls and links are 4.76 same as QuickUK, I have some in my parts bin from a few Logos I used to own. The Quick link fits PERFECT on the Mikado ball.

 What's wrong with the stock balls?

The ones in my kit were not very accurate some larger than others and the links are even worse. So I think they are poor quality, my opinion but based on facts.

boring video from about a week ago:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDzKbXYnKpg

Scorpion HK-4025-550KV, Castle Creations ICE 80HV, Align DS610's, Align DS650, Align 600D CF Blades, Micro Beast FBL Unit, LiFe 1100mAh RX pack, (2) Turnigy 3600mAh 6S 30C Lipo's in series

and yes my gov gain is still to high at 15 and I increased my pitch up compensation after that flight.

What's avg return to the lifeo4?

I fly (2) five minute flights like that and I usually put 450-700mAh back in. Since I only have (4) packs for two flights, I just recharge the LiFe RX pack while the main packs are charing. At 2C it usually only takes 10 minutes.

Nice flying!

What voltage do you run Align DS610s at?

Anyone have a sticky tail slider? If so, what did you do about it?

I'm running all the servos unregulated off the LiFe battery which is about 6.6volts.

My slider was a little sticky but then figured out it was in the shoulder screws that connect the slider to the grip. I cleaned them and used a little polish compound and then it was slilky smooth. You just have to test each moving part to figure out what is sticking.

You were right on the money with the tail slider Hugo. Had it fixed in 2 minutes. That was the only part in the whole build that did not go exactly as planned.

Beautiful kit!

Anyone know where in stock they have the 6mm shaft /bearing support?

kazager

nowhere, and no one seems to know when more will show up, per a conversation with Greg unless something has changed since 3/15. Outrage apparently does not have a source for the 6x13x4mm bearing.

That was mentioned in many thread in this forum yet, simply replace original 5x13x4mm bearing by 6x13x4.5mm from BoccaBearings.

But can the 6mm bearing fit in the 5mm support?

yes, 13mm is the OD and will drop right into the support.

Cool now I can really consider the X-era motor. Jus called boca got the bearing but it's 4.5 thick instead if 4.. Hope it won't make difference
