Hawk Pro Cyclic Upgrade

Anyone using the 4MM flybar upgrade and the Predator gray 20G paddles on their Hawk???

Yup. With Rotor Tech 560 3D "yellow tipped" blades, my cyclic rate and response is phenomenal. :glasses:

Thanks for the info, I was hoping that the 4MM flybar and the gray paddles was a good combination. I like the Hawk, but it is just a little slow in the cyclic...Flies great though and you cant beat it for the price...

You could also just get some MA white 3D paddles which are more or less the same design but will fit a 3mm flybar.

Yes I could, but I think a big part of the slow response to cyclic input is the 3MM flybar actually flexing, making the cyclic feel soft...Don't MA make those same paddles for a 4MM flybar???

I very much doubt that the flybar being 3mm has anything to do with the slow response. For the record, I ran the MA white 3D paddles on my first Hawk(3mm flybar) and it had quite a fast/crisp cyclic response and rate, especially compared to the stock paddles. Not to mention most other 30/50 size machines run 3mm flybars and most don't seem to be lacking as far as cyclic authority goes. I'd say just go for the MA white 3D paddles. It's cheaper and I'm sure you'll be impressed with the change.

Thanks for the input Al...Do you have a part number for the MA paddles???I looked on MA's page but all I found was part numbers...Where did you get yours???

Hi Al, I found the MA paddles at Rick's and will try a set of them first...

the 4 mm bar will make it feel crisper in response , but light paddles will help the speed. I would do both as the 4mm bar upgrade is not to expensive. :smokin:

Thank's tailboom, that is exactly what I had decided to do...Just got some Min Air
white paddles for a 4MM flybar...Also got a set of the 20Oz for the Predator...
