Power bands

hi,

I am trying to find out the powerbands for the YS91 and the OS c-psec PS,

If anyone knows or can point me to the right direction, that would be great:D

From my experience with both motors. It seems that the power band is in the mid 14K to 15K range. That is where I have found the best power for aerobatics and the motor running smoothly.

So with a headspeed of 1750, on 8:45 gearing = 14795 revs, ok what about, this thing was mentioned that the MP2 does not come into power band on the 8:45 gearing and that the SB16 is better for the YS91? because it does come into power band?

This is an answer that Curtis gave to the same question on his website

The MP2 will tend to tune the engine to have its best power at the lower RPM. So I would still recommend the 8 to 1 ratio instead of the 8.4 to 1.

Having said that the 8.4 will work fine it just will not have quite as much power.

I think my OS 50 needs some new powerbands. Will the ones from the 91 fit, and would I get more power with them?
