you need to get a gyro that does not require a channel like gy240. and use the open channel for trigger. there are various ways to trigger a camera. IR switch, servo or electronic switch.

So , with your trex system , all i would need is a camera (and better esc)?

you can disable the tilt and run it with trigger only. (or on some camera, you could run it auto shoot set to every 2-3sec) 401 has gain channel which you need a feedback on. without the channel, 401 won't function. anyway, all you need is camera, and way to trigger (with more channel, you could also run tilt) most people also run video downlink for framing, but not necessary. would recommend parkbec though. (and you can use existing ESC if you run parkbec)

As Askman said, depending on your camera mount, there are lots of possibilities. The are if you use a servo to trigger the shutter
1) I added a plastic plate which uses the trigger bezel for horizontal location, and a piano wire rod hooked into the wrist-strap slot under slight tension, with rubber bands around the other end. Undo the rubber bands and the whole lot falls free. The servo is double-sided to the plate.

2) As it turned out, by sheer luck, Askman's camera mount was a perfect fit for my camera, so I attached the servo to the mounting frame. In ordr to avoid scratching the shutter button, I fitted a Trex ball to the servo arm, and a small O-ring to the shank, so only the O-ring touches the button
