Today MLaBoyteaux, Mike E myself did a photo shoot of a house by our club flying field. The guy came up to me and ask if we would be interested in doing this so here is the photos of what it look like from the ground  Mark will post the pictures of the Home

Did you take off and land from the table :?:

Yep. Mark is one heck of a pilot! He flew the heli and I flew the cam. It was a tight takeoff and landing zone, but he pulled it off beautifully and in an extremely safety-conscious manner.

i find the hardest part about landing and taking off from a table is the landing process, and paticularly the way that your ground effect comes up as soon as you're over the table and the heli balloons!

all in all great job! i've had 1-2 jobs with similar flying conditions.... on one of them i simply figured" well i may aswell try my best to just crash it in a safe spot! im still amazed i didn't hit anything!

Yeah, the landing definately made me earn my pay. A lot of "easy does it...."

The shots turned out nice though.

Nice job photoshopping the two of you out of the pic! Are they your shadows on the table?

No, we were standing a little further back.

Nice Mark! that is a tight spot indeed. many guys don't realize how tight that is unless they've been there and done that.

nice house and tough location. I've done some take off and landing on my back deck (10x16) with my corona ap setup. (as it is a tank) rails are always bit nerve wrecking to be around as I don't have a big table on my deck. good job.

Sweet example of getting the shot and hiding yourselves from the pic!!

Yeah, makes the photo shop work harder when you are in such a tight place.

I always try and consciously stand so there is no transition or edge behind me or below me in the picture. (LIke you're on the edge of the window with curtains in it). You did not have much(if any) of a choice in your shot though, so I'm not saying anything bad here, just giving food for thought to others.

Took me a few jobs before I realized it. Same thing with your car. If you can't get it completely out of the picture, then don't park by a curb or under a light pole or anything that will make the photoshopping harder. Yes, it can be done, but just ends up wasting your time which cuts into your profits.

Hey Mark,

Great shot and had to be great flying.

Did you back it down to the table. Looks like you did have an escape route. I hate being backed into a corner by a flying lawn mower.

Ya done good my friend!

Yeah, backed her up and geeeeeently set her down. For the take off and landing I had eveyone else move off the patio so I was the only one exposed. My escape route was behind me along the patio, but in reality, if I botched the landing and had a blade strike with the railing, things would happen so fast, it would be over before I had a chance to run.

I felt confident in my pilot skills and there was only a very slight breeze, so weather wasn't a factor. The risks came down to a possible mechanical failure during the landing phase. The risk was within my comfort zone and passed all of my go/no go and do it/don't do it checks

There was plenty of open space in front of me which was my emergency landing zone. Wouldn't have been much of a landing, but there wasn't any property that could be damaged in the event I had to perform an auto, just a bunch of trees.

Plan for the worst and hope for the best!

Mark flies like a robot anyway - very specific and deliberate. If you ever get a chance to watch him fly don't pass it up! :noteworthy

Nice pics, but I am hurt that you didn't invite me to come along
Just because I was traveling.
