Hello All,
Some buddies of mine were down at the Fremont fun fly two weekends ago and mentioned that a guy was there doing funnels and other aerobatic manuevers with his Hirobo tandem. Anyone know who that was?

His name is Roy. His RR handle is 3dwannabe. He took first place in the 30 size scale competition.

I have video if anyone is interested. Roys' machine is v 2.00 done up in a NASA scheme. Flew great! His first flight took him up to about 250 feet. I didn't see him lose concentration at any time during the flight!

I will need to figure out how to upload it. I have a Sony DVD camera in minus R format. I am pretty sure I know how to get it onto my computer. From there is unspoiled territory for me. I would like to use the least troublesome format as I have had trouble in the past with video that was to huge for a whale to use much less my computer. Give me a day or so to figure it out,ok?

Cool Thanks!! I think Inside RC also taped it for broadcast on the "Outdoor Chanel" along with all of the other cool demos by Team Century.

vertolnut,
Thanks for posting that video.
The Chinook was a real handful to fly that day. The winds were just 3-5mph but it still drove the helicopter crazy. I was in the corners of the sticks most of the time trying to stay in control. It's very surprising to me that the flight still looked fairly smooth.

Hi Roy,
Can you give more details about your set-up? Headspeed?
Which engine and what fuel are you using? (Based on the smoke, I'm guessing 30% nitro)
Are you using stock blades? What about TRSV parameters? Have you changed any, and if so, which ones and to what values?
Thanks.
Ashley
