They are harder to control
Most people work their way from electric to nitro why do you want an electric when a evo 30 is a very nice machine

go electric its the future . Its cleaner and more convienent .
The T-REX is a better quality kit and a much better flying machine , its very smooth and predictable in its flight . The MX400 and 450 share many of the same design features and many of these designs are flawed . aluminum frames are not as crash resistant as CF frames ( CF flexes and so distributes energy ) aluminum frames can bend and then your hooped. the T-REX SE kit fits really well together. the MX uses phillips screws which strip easy , also uses plastic bearing blocks which strip easy . the T-REX is all Aluminum so its stronger and holds together better it uses hex screws which do not strip easy . The MX tail case isnt that great , also the cyclic rates are slow compared to the T-REX . The T-REX uses a boom mounted tail servo design which is better than the MX 450 frame mouted servo . CF tail boom on the MX is weak ive used it a few times on my T-REX because i like the look of it but it cracks easily . Get the T-REX SE its just plain better !

I agree with steve28
Trex SE is way better than the X400. I have the X400 with a ton of Trex components and now wish I also had the full Trex head and main frames.
Reasons why Trex is better:
1: Gyro is easily mounted below boom on Trex (prevent paddle striking your gyro)
2: Trex gives the option of running a reduced tail speed
3: Trex tail pitch slider is better (less likely to bind using the over and under setup)
4: Trex canopy fits better (trex canopy also fits x400)
5: Upgrades tend to hit the Trex first (still waiting for a tail reduction for x400)
6: Trex has way better blade selection (Trex blades can be used with modification)
7: Trex has fixed the separating swash issue, X400 has not (also refer to 5)
8: Gorrilla Gear fits the Trex not X400 (need a mod to fit them) (if mod is in stock)
9: as mentioned in a previous post, hex heads on Trex are better than phillips on X400.
10: Trex cyclic response is better. (Trex paddles can be used on x400 but cyclic still wont be as fast)
Reasons why X400/X450 is better than Trex:
1: Cheaper
2: Slower cyclic response is better for new pilots (Trex cyclic can be tamed for the new guys as well)
3: I like the red color better (just my preference)
Conclusion is: You get what you pay for!
If anyone wants to add to the X400 list, please help me out. I just cant think of any right now especially since I am getting frustrated with my X400/Trex. It may become more Trex than X400 in the near future.

I have no complaints with my x400 for what it is except that red is the only bling color. Its ment to be a soft heli. Tame for beginers and mild sport flying. with lighter paddles and a shorter flybar it has the same roll. Me I put a rex head on my 400 cuz I wanted grey bling. Dont go with the mx brushless and ecs as they suck. try 3000 to 3550 kv on a 30 to 35a esc with a 11 to 13 t pinion. But now that align has a alumi side frame its a hard call.
