Are all lipo sacks created equal?

Hey.

I was just wondering if some lipo sacks are better then others.

Specifically the one from readyheli. It seems to be one of the cheaper ones around. Would that one still be a safe choice?

The hobbycity.com ones are nice, though I've never "put them to the test". They feel thick and the stitching is well done. That's all I can say really. If I have a LiPo fire I will let you know. :YeaBaby:

Get the real thing, liposack from woodworks. www.liposack.com (http://www.liposack.com). Some of the cheap ones are made from materials that will not hold up to a lipo fire. Some are made from kevlar which will burn at a lower rating than what a lipo fire will produce. Some are also made from fiberglass which has an even lower threashold. The difference you are talking about is a few dollars.

I think the Woodworks LipoSack sets the benchmark. I also think that ReadyHeli's branded Eat.Sleep.3D Lipo Safe Charging and Storage Bag is VERY close to the Woodwork's one, but costs just half or less ;)

P.S.: I just use the bags to transport and store my lipos. Never charge them in it. I balance charge every time with high-quality chargers and monitor the charging.

I'd like to line the inside of the case my t-rex came in and use it as a battery transport box...
