Has anybody seen how thick blades you can use on the T600 FBL head?
BBT Insane 693 is 14mm.

Why would you use 693mm blades on a 600?

Mine has already shipped.
I should have it early next week.

A logo 600 has a plastic rotor head. Stretch that to a logo 700 but use the T600 FBL head.
(Logo has 10mm main shaft)

OK now I understand. :)

Logo 600 has plastic grips but is using a metal hub. The grips on the Logo 600 are also larger and use larger bearings as well as having a 14mm spacing for larger rooted blades like the aformentioned Maniac blades. Many people stretch with the stock Logo head and run 690s.
IMO putting a T600 head on a Logo 700 would be a down grade due to smaller bearings, 12mm grip spacing, and a smaller bolt to bolt spacing.
Don't mean to derail the thread from the 3G talk but wanted to clear that up.

Just got mine today. Beautiful head, everything is very nicely machined. The sensor is smaller than I expected. On to the install....

Steph280,
Thanks for sharing some new pictures of the Align FBL conversion kit… Would it be possible for you to scan-in the 3G Installation/setup instructions that Align provided with your new unit, and post it here on this thread? Also, really look forward to hear how the installation and setup goes for you once it’s all installed and flying on your Trex 600 machine…

Hi Steph, could you show us the connector for programming and upgrade too?
I know that we have to buy the programming cable separately. Please scan the manual and share to us.
Thanks

I have a T Rex700 version on its way but its only coming with Chinese instructions.
Anybody out there with an English instruction manual?

If you buy Align's FBL kit from Taiwan sellers, there is no English manual :-)

Just got mine today....I am not an expert 3D pilot, but I experience wtih CSM, Gyrobot 9000, VBAR 3x, Vbar 4 and mini-vbar. I will provide the different feedback, one of an intermediate skill but with exposure to other systems. And also I will be testing it on ATOM 500 that I have mini-VBAR on till tonight, where I put on 3G to see how it goes. It is with an RJX FBL head and torsion blades. Will see how the 3G+600 combo pack I have work on my current setup.

Just wanted to clarify that I am not associated with Align and am a "regular" heli-guy...

Hi,
I have no clue why some folks give you such a hard time here? :thinking
I think your review was objective and informative.

Folks, do I understand correctly that the Align 3D unit has 2 devices: sensor and gyro like the v-bar where the Skookum sk-720 will come with one device like the gyrobot 700? I'm sure I prefer less wire connection when possible, whether it's small or large helis.
Please inform. Thank you!

Sorry I am affiliated with Align so you aren't going to get an un-biased review out of me. LOL just kidding!
The English manual was translated and being printed right now. But as of now it seems all the kits on the market comes with Chinese manual. I got a little issue with my heli (non-flybarless related) so it's not going to fly this weekend. Going to drive around town to see if I can find the part I need before going the mail order route.
Sorry I didn't get the programming cable with mine. Do they have it available already?

Folks, do I understand correctly that the Align 3D unit has 2 devices: sensor and gyro like the v-bar ...I am curious too.. since the 250 and 450 don't really have the room for 2 boxes!

This system will definitely fit the 450 no problem. 250 is a maybe, just have to mount the control box outside or under the frame.
Remember the actual sensor is replacing your existing gyro, and is rather small.
I think the two box configuration is better, since you can mount the control box near the receiver so all the wires can be organized in one place, while running one single wire to the sensor where it sits away from all the vibrations and wire mess (usually on your gyro platform). If you had to mount one box on the gyro platform, imagine all the wires you have to run back to your receiver and servos...

Quick tip on setup instruction, in case you have problem reading the Chinese manual.
The steps follows that of the 750 gyro, except on the part where you set the servo frame rate, you need to move the rudder stick 3 times with LED being green for 1520us, or red for 760 us. Otherwise it will just revert back to original setting (760us).
And during initialization process, the swashplate need to jump up and down 3 times WHILE REMAINING LEVEL to indicate proper setup. If it jumps 3 times at an angle, then center is off and setup procedure need to be redone.
Any changes to the trim/subtrim will require re-setup of the flybarless system.
On the radio, SWASH mix percentage is used to increase/decrease roll rate. NOT ATV (servo end point).
Exponential can be used to soften the sensitivity.
That's all I can think of at the moment, until I can get mine flying.

A lot of comments has been made on piro performance - all I can say is that it piros as good as my V-bar equipped Logo 600.
Could you show your flights with lots of piro moves (not just simple ones, which could be done nicely even with gaui fbl)? Because to make such statements, you should be really good in piros. Thank You.
