Alan, nice flying!
Maybe it is just setup/Alan’s style of flying, but on videos it looks like G3 does not have as crisp, responsive and fast cyclic as VBAR (that what I really like about Vbar, especially with Agility settings between 80-85 :)).
Alan, it would be cool to see video with some piro moves (not just simple piroflip, please ;)). I know that it is a real pain in a..$ for FBL systems. And VBAR does this part excellent!
P.S. It is great that Align release FBL system. I hope it will push VBAR to decrease their prices too. Anyways I stick to VBAR for now…

Nice flying Alan! But it's all man gossip until we start seeing all the "regular joe" reviews... we all know you pros can even make a belt-cp look as if it was the hottest heli going...
I can't wait for the commoner reviews :)
I flew probably 8 tanks on the 700 G3 today, and it still flies awesomely. I think Alan can confirm I am a "Regular Joe" - especially since I changed from mode 1 to mode 2 just a few months back... Back to the basics...
I flew it back-to-back with my Logo 600 V-bar, and while I absolute love the 12s power on the Logo, it feels very artificial compared to the 700 with the G3. It is difficult to put words on the difference, but I guess the short story is that with the G3, nothing unsuspected happens - just great flying with abundant power and control :YeaBaby:

How about swapping out the VBar on the Logo for the G3 Edvard? It would be intresting to see how this would work....

Hi,
Somewhere in the marketing collateral of Mikado, it says that vBar provides for a "robotic" feel.
Maybe that is one of the differences between the 3G and the vBar, the 3G feels more natural (i.e., flybar-like). It all depends on the algorithms Align put into the 3G. I know from first hand that Germans tend to (over-)engineer things a little bit pedantically.
Just my 2c.
Best,
Frank
P.S.: I have never flown any FBL systems as of yet, so I am just guessing, at best.

Robotic Feel is really nothing you need to get, its usually because you try to configure your mechanical setup as if you had paddles (i.e. wrong)
I can get a Vbar to feel stiff as a robot or sloppy like a <censored pg-13>, all by settings and hardware (damper, mechanical gain, blades).
People tend to forget that just because you have a gyro onboard you cannot do exactly the same with the hardware to make it fly good.
A setup on VBar or other high quality FBL solutions for that matter can fly ok, good or excellent, all within just smaller tweaks.

+1 The V-bar is amazing because it gives the user access to all these parameters...
+1 Vbar. Love all the settings and the auto trim function!

Could some lucky person who owns the new Align 3G flybarless system please scan their User Manual Setup Guide into a PDF file and post it to the forum thread if possible. It would be a great help to me and others in comparing the Mikado’s VBar setup features to Aligns to which unit I would like to possibly purchase in the future, or wait for CY’s Total G or SK720. I’m also hoping once these new units are out for a while, that Bob Finless can possibly do a quick round-up review/video comparing the features of each of these FBL systems together.
Thanks in advance!

I dont think it is system specific at all. Any 6 channel or higher system will work, it is only the VBar than can accept satellites , and even that can be used via normal connections as well.

Thanks guys for your reply…. I guess we just have to keep waiting until Align releases more detailed information about its new FBL devices. I'm hoping that it will be real soon, since today is the 8th of Jan, and they should be starting to ship out their production units at the end of the week if I understood that correctly from what the pre-order web sites said that are carrying the new Align 3G products.
Cheers - Bill

I wonder if Align will sell the new FBL heads separately? And if so, for how much?
