I have a new HW6146 swashplate and the inner ball that goes around the main shaft is so tight in the swash that it takes a good bit of effort just to tilt the swash on the main shaft. It feels like it is stuck then with enough force "snaps" loose and moves...Is there any way to loosen this up or did I just get a bad one???

Also, what's the trick to putting the ball links on the balls on the inner star inside the ring???

Sounds to me like you got a bad one, however I'd lube it and give it a try because they loosen up real quick. There's no real trick, depends on the links you are using, but they will barely go between the ring and the ball.

Hi Steve,

I think it is bad to...I have been setting here playing with it on an old main shaft working it around and putting some light oil on it and I think it is actually getting tighter, or I am getting tired playing with it...Do you know who to talk to at Century to get a replacement?

"Do you know who to talk to at Century to get a replacement?"

First, talk to the person you ordered it from. If you don't get satisfaction, ask to speak with Paul.
