Well, I want to try some better blades!! I am looking for 600 to 620mm blades but with so many great blades on the market it is hard for me to choose:confused: I fly a Raptor e620 and have only used the black and white TT blades. Any recomendations would be sweet!!

Take a serious look at the Rotor Tech blades.

If you like to fly 3D, try their 6166 or 6266 blades. If you like more big sky type of flying (FAI,Scale or FBL) try their 6001 blades.

The new Mavericks are a good deal..and they fly nice.

I have the Radix 600mm SB's on my Raptor and I think I would actually prefer the non-SB's if I were to replace them. But...the Mavericks are such a great deal...I would probably go with those.

You should tell us what kind of flying you do.
Do you auto?

I've flown Radix, Radix SB, Align 600D, and Rotortech on my 600's. My faves are the Rotortech 610 3D series blades, just a great all around blade but they are a bit pricey. Next would be the Align's. Radix have a really smooth, predictable feel and auto better than anything, but they're not as quick as the others. Radix SB are very quick with that same smooth feel but they auto poorly and can get pitchy when in FFF, still a great blade if you're into heavy stick banging w/o much smooth stuff. The Align's are somewhere in between the two.

I dont fly 3D yet but plan on it. I use a sim alot and can do many 3D moves, just havent done them for real. I can fly fast and handle the heli well in upright flight, might try the rotortechs

Lots of good blades out there in the 600 size to choose from. Remember that blades are a personal preference and what may fit one person's style may not fit another person's. I've tried the Align, RTs, Radix, SABs, Gohbees, Maniacs, EDGE FBL and FB'd versions on various machines. I can tell you that the EDGE 603s have been my favorite to date. Best blend of bite, effeciency, cyclic, and auto performance IMO.

Thanx for the info everyone!! I would love to try them all and I will eventually but not in the budget yet. I'm sure I will like what ever set I choose:YeaBaby:

The ZIGSAWS look nice, but not running a flybarless set up

hehe I had them on flybarless... but now i have them on a velocity, and an Aeolus.. they are both flybared machines.. you will be surprised at how well they preform.. I was skeptical at first also.... Its all i l fly now. they fly really good flybarless. they preform similiar to rotortech 610 c-tip, but are faster. i think they auto better too.

Very cool man!! I had been wondering how flybarless blades would perform on a flybared machine:thumbup:Still havent decided wich blades to get. Want the best I can find!!

I have tried most blades. Years ago, at IRCHA, Scott Gray convinced me to try the Rotor Tech's. I loved them...the 01 series for my scale and FAI birds, and the 66 series for 3D.

Since then I have continued to try others and always keep going back to the RT's.

I can also confirm that FBL blades perform well on FB'd machines. Slightly slower cyclic but better tracking in speed oriented manuevers. Also auto really well.

I fly a E-620 and there are not that many blades 620 mm long it seems.
The SAB red devil 620 are fine and so are the black and white SAB 620 mm.

Comparing the Mavericks 620 mm gives a very different impression. Seems more noisy.. and the E-620 seems "less" stable.

I don't do 3d so I can't comment in this domain.

at rotor speed of 1800 rpm the SABs seems to give longer flying time.

Just my 2 and 1/2 cents.

Happy flying.

Which Mavricks? G4's or G5's.. or some other version?

I ask because I fly 620 G4's on my R50T and have noticed my blades are much more "angry" sounding than Rotortec's on some other machines at the field. I'm thinking that louder "thwap thwap thwap" means my blades are beating (rather than slicing) the air a bit more compared to others and are perhaps less effecient?

Just wondered if the G5 blade seems louder than most other brands? Haven't tried the G5's yet.
