I am trying to remove the G231 from the heli to be shipped and modded. What is the best and simplest way of removing the the engine without taking the entire heli apart (especially the rotor)? Is there a way?
Please help :arggg: :arggg: :arggg:

While you have it apart and the clutch in your hand, don't forget to press/tap the torrington bearing out of the clutch botton, flip it over and tap it back in from the bottom side. Using a socket that fits in the hole works really well to get the bearing out, and a socket size enlarger (from 1/4 inch drive to 3/8 inch) works really well to tap the bearing back in. Do it on a block of wood with a hole in the middle for the bearing to drop out through. After you do this your heli will be "generator ready"!

Good point Raja! I have the Super Heavy Duty clutch on order. When it arrives, I'll give you a shout to discuss the generator mounts and issues..
Thanks
