Hello,
Have had this for two years or so, no problems so far ?Developed two blank lines across the LCD(usable but annoying when settings accessed as numbers are partly obscured)
I am aware of recalls but havent had problem so i have not sent it in.
Purchased in Feb 2007 but the recall did not get published until 12 months or more after that which meant 12 mnth warranty had expired, realising that LCD problem is not part of recall.
I have contacted model flight (Australian agents for horizon/eflite) and they say it is out of warranty ( still arguing actually), if it is not covered will they supply me a new LCD ( i can fit)
can anyone share any experiences they have had with faulty DX6i
BTW unit has been well looked after not dropped or abused

I've only had mine for about 8 months but after 2 yrs if I had you're problem I would assume responsibility and either send it in or replace the display myself. Mine has been very reliable so far. Keep in mind that the DX6i is a low end Tx in the big picture since. If you had paid $1200.00 then you might expect and would probably get more attention.

Had problems with my trim tabs { Keep braking} Horizon Hobby sent me a four pack N/C . I change them myself. Its best to just used epoxy and reinforce where they keep braking. Other than that Radio is Good.

T/C, IMO, it's not worth d*cking around when you can install genuine aluminium trim tabs for $25.

My DX6i smoked during a sim session, after the gimbals were needlessly replaced during service for random resets. Horizon graciously included an AR6100 and AR6200 with my replacement TX (slightly after the end of my warranty) but I would have rather upgraded to a DX7.
I like the 6i a lot but have some trust issues with it.

My experience with the US service center is 100% good. My radio got run over by a car which is definitely NOT covered under the warranty. I sent in the radio for repairs expecting to pay for the repairs. I even sent a note telling them what happened to it.
They sent me a brand new (in the box) radio
with rechargable batteries, wall Charger AND Rx.
NO CHARGE.
I love these guys!
... the story is that I left my heli and radio in my wife's parking spot in the garage and when she came home, she pulled into the space without looking, and ... CRUNCH!
