Setup spare channel for gyro control?

On my Blade CP Pro I have a G90 gyro and have Ch5 setup so I can control the rate and modeof the gyro. Is there a fairly easy way to do this in G3 with the interlink controller? I have tried to figure it out to the best of my ability but I can't seem to get it. I've tried using channels that seem unused, like the knob that usually doesn't do anything on Helis, but they act like they are "locked" or something and have no effect.

Yes, you can configure CH5 to control the gyro gain. You need to use the aircraft editor [click Aircraft | Edit <Aircraft>]. There is a section dedicated to the software radio. You just need to configure the software radio to take the signal from the dial and output it on channel 5. Then you need to configure the gyro to take it's gain setting from the output channel 5.
