Please give a little help. I have a trex 450se with a hacker motor and esc. When starting up the tail seems wild as if I did not have agyro at all, once I'm almost up to speed it settles down and holds the tail fine. But this is very unsettling tome as I have only flown 2 times so far. My friend built the same setup but with the Align motor and esc and his tail is rock solid at all times. How do I get my tail to act like that and what am I doing wrong. I checked and I thing we have all the same settings on the gyro and radio

The tail rotor is ineffective until the main rotor comes up to speed.

You might be starting the heli with too much throttle at the beginning, if so start up a whole lot slower and do as BarracudaHockey suggests.

Too much negative during spool up?

Do you have softstart enabled on your ESC, that will help reduce the torque as you spool up which the tail rotor cannot hold against until it is at speed.
