Here is an idea that seems to be just what the scale doctor ordered for remote navigation and spotlights on / off

Took a servo and mounted a micro switch on top where the horn could close the contact via an unused channel ...

I think my next thing with the Benzins will be a remote start, pricey but still pretty cool.

That will definitely get the job done.
I like the crack and wrinkle in the servo case.
Good non critical place to use it up.

You could build one up to operate electronically and save some weight and space of a servo.

I'll bet that if you look around there is a commercial version out there somewhere.

Yep, it's a good old 9202 that serves a nice solid analog purpose in life

I used to use a circuit like the 4001 driving a xstr positive to flow the emmitter collector to ground ... my lights are nav and xenon front and search light so I wanted to make sure I covered the current appropriately with out a high current FET or a relay ...

Poor old servo got pressed into service.
