IonX, blur vertical fin

The vertical fin on my IonX started to buzz a little bit at the bottom while hoverring. It started doing this after 10 flights. I replace the whole tail gear box with my Tempest one and no buzz, zero vibration.

It stops buzzing when I add more pitch and fly around. Does yours do the same thing.

I have 55T main gear, running 85% at hover.

No mine don’t do that. You must have a problem with your tail assembly if your Tempest assembly does not do it. Try different tail blades, maybe it has been doing this all along and you have only now noticed it, I have had that happen before. Otherwise a bent hub or out put shaft would cause this. Good luck!

Mine is rock solid- maybe trya a little less that 85% at hover.

I will try to dial the T/R shalf today. The hub already been replaced with a brand new one.

what length tail blades are you running? I have personaly experienced some problems with 105's due to a harmonic. We ran 95mm in testing and they hold without any problems. I run 95mm V's and have run the stock plastic ones also with good luck.

I dialed the shaft and found it is traight. Replaced tail hub, same problem.

Rebuilt the gearbox and added the extra thin sim, tighten the boom support, all these fixed the vib on the hoz fin.

I am happy now.
