View Full Version : Does this include?
Hey there, I just noticed a new category in the Walkera section. Does this CB100 include the CB180Q?

It can include whatever folks think it should include :) These forums are for you, the great Freaks of HeliFreak!

i'd say no. it's called cb100 helicopter support. i say post about the cb180q/d in the others, or main walkera forum.

Well, from a newbie stand point, I would name the area CB100/180.
Only because the list of differences is shorter than the list of similarities - which means to me that the helicopters are as close to being the same as possible while still being different.
Basically meaning this area should be for the "CB" line of walkera heli's.
my two cents

what's similar between the 2? your 180 is almost twice the size as a cb100. not 1 part is interchangeable between the 2 if i'm correct. a 4#3b is almost the same thing as a cb100 short of the head. should the cb100 have been put in with them?
i'm not trying to rain on your parade, but look at the sub forums. there is a others forum, or the main walkera forum. if your looking for info/help for your cb180q i highly don't think your going to find anything here specific to your 180. yes you will probably get help, but you will get faster help in the main room, or the others room. kinda like going to ford to get help on your dodge. yes they can probably fix it, but you would get better help at a dodge dealer.
i'm not trying to be rude, but just trying to point you to where you will find others flying the same heli is all. the cb100 has quite a large following now. that's why i think they started a sub forum for it.

Nah, not what I meant.
If I had the plans for a CB100, and I hit magnify x2 and built another one using the new dimensions, I'd have a CB180. Minus tail rotor design. If I had the plans to a 4#3b, I would not be able to construct either CB100 or CB180 without "already" knowing something.
That's the reason they are the "CB" line. They have more in common than they do different.

I don't mind either way. My point of view was merely that, my point of view. I can see why making the area a CB100/180 would be a logical choice, won't hurt my feelings any though.
But it's more like going to your Yamaha dealer and asking for a YZ two stroke (asking your LHS for a Walkera CB). The dealer is going to ask if you want a 125, or a 250 (asking if you want a 100, or a 180). You ask what the difference is, the dealer tells you size/power. You ask if the parts are interchangeable, the dealer tells you no but anyone that has ever worked on a 125 will be able to tell you how to work on a 250 because the only difference is that one is bigger than the other. They have more in common than they do different.

I don't have either Heli... but I want both. Only have a mSR right now. I have to wait till my skill level increases to a point that a CB will be flyable for my hands. But like I stated, not offended, was merely my point of view agreeing that I would "understand" why this would make a good CB100/180 area, and my reasons for that point of view. I honestly don't care if it does or doesn't, was just agreeing with another post that it sounded logical.

end result is you are still talking apples, and oranges.
