Has anyone had any luck with Hitec Servos in Helis.
9625 0.14sec/ 130oz at 6V.
I have used them for years in large scale airplanes. No issues.
Seems like Futaba has the market on Helis.

Looking to out fit a new 90 size, suggestions welcome.

I would consider myself a mid range 3d Tic Toc, Funnels, Flips and Rolls.

I'm currently using Futaba 9252's in my 50, going on two years. Very happy with them but I hear they are too wimpy for the 90.

Thx,

Howdy boxster,

The HiTec 5625 is a great heli servo ... I've been running them for a couple of years in 50-60 size birds without a failure. Good specs and great price ... the 9625, I believe, is its big brother.

I am running HS-5925mg servo's on my Carbon Predator Max 90. I am running a Arizona Regulator and my servo's are .10 & 144oz. at 6v. They are lightening fast and have loads of power. I am running HS-5635hb on my tiger 50 and they have survived several hard crashes without any damage. I think that people go with Futaba just because others are using them. I know that the Jr 8311 is also a good servo for larger heli's. I think that for the money I will stick with the Hitec servo's as for the price and performance they are hard to beat. I hope that this info helps.

Take a look at 6965, 6975, 6985hb series. They are little more money than futaba 9252 but faster and stronger. It will also last longer without developing gear backlash as most metal gears (except tatanium ) do.

I am using the 6965 servos for everything now, including the rudder with a 401.
You can run a full 6V system and have .08 speed.
After flying the Futaba 9252's at .14 speed I found that my timing was off on many maneuvers because I was leading the maneuver to give the slow servo time to get there.

I fly 6975 in all my helis and love them, I have never had one fail. Knock on wood.
