Just curoius what folks run with other than the stock canopy? if so, what do you have? Photos? That and it's probably just me, but is this canopy a PITA to put on?

I use a canomod and love it. Check my albums. Compared to my Trex 450 Pro the Rave canopy is a snap to put on. It does not have the lip around the top like the stock one which makes it even easier.

I think the stock canopy is a huge pain to put on as well... The bottom cutouts always get hung up on the gear struts and I have to do too much fiddling to get it slid on correctly.

My Canomod might be easier to put on because it came uncut and I had to drill the holes and cut out the slots in the bottom. It is also thicker (and probly heavier ) than the stock canopy so it is a little easier to manage. I also removed the bottom bolt and fuel tubbing setup too. When I had a 450 Pro I hated putting that canopy on it was such a tight fit. The Rave has tons of room .

Here is mine with the Canomod one, I had to cut my own holes too and it was thicker, fit is pretty good.

I have this one coming in as well, it is being custom made by a fellow member on here. I don't think the clear coat is on yet, but it hsould be shinier, it is green with a hint of purple and white on the bottom, they are my own designs I gave him.

Slyster, did you ever sell that 450 Pro or are you going to hang onto it?

Rave's canopy topic lolll

I have Orange, Yellow and Blue ones. I love them all. No problem with mounting, just enlarge hole for fuel tube.

I've got an addiction with canopies, same with my 250 : ))

I want this one for my Rave now:

That Phantom canopy is awesome and I love it as you can see in my avatar. That would look good on the Rave. You need to post pics when you get it. The one I just bought is this one for my Rave and can't wait until it gets here. http://www.helidirect.com/canomod-bo...ve-p-11340.hdx

Very nice too : )))

A thing I've noticed about Canomod is their canopies are more strenght than before.
They are heavier too.
In past I had two Canomod's for my 450 and my 250, they were very fragile on paint and fiber, very vulnerable on crash. I just bought a Tatoo EX for my 250, stunning finish, and I had last week a pretty hard crash and Tatoo was absolutely not damaged. I'm impressed.
Same quality on a Canomod a friend just buyed for its Dragonus.
On these canopies I prefer a little more weight but more solidity.
And their new prices are very sweet too!!

For the Rave Phantom, I'll buy it next week I think : ))

Very new Fusuno canopies designs are very nice too (think you have one on your Trex500?). Their first attempt to made a Rave canopy was IMO a taste disaster!! Hope they will decline their new shemes on the Rave in future.

I agree, that canopy by Fusuno is a joke. I can't believe they even sell it still. I don't like it one bit, the scheme is horrible. Usually Fusuno has some great looking canopies, but not this one. Hopefully they'll come out with some more. As for the canomods canopies, I will agree the paint isn't that strong anymore and seems to lack quality. My phantom canopy for my Logo fell off the table the other day at the field and a small piece of paint on the nose came off. I couldn't believe it since it didn't even hit hard. IMO, that is crap and should not happen. The quality obviously isn't that good anymore. I do love canomods designs though, they are awesome.

I think the other really good looking dark canopy on there is "Laststand" which looks good. I like your canopy, but its so dark, I would be afraid of losing it in the sky.
