Hi, Im new to this site and have a question about my blade CX. The nose of the heli keeps wanting to keep spinning right in a hover. I have maxed out the adjustment on the 4 in 1 and radio trim and it still wants to spin to the right. I have upgraded the inner main shaft to the aluminum one and the aluminum lower head. The rest is all stock. Thanks for any help in advance.

Howdy, pro! :)

Quick-Question from my side...

How old are your motors?
Lots of flight-hours on them?

One of my two (I had on my Lama2) was giving up life after around 50 battery charges...
Strange noise, the need to trim more and more with increasing flighttime and less rotation in full yaw for one direction than in the other...
Also, that motor was getting hotter than the other.
Motor replaced, tested, satisfied...

Your problem sounds to come from that direction...

Cheers,

Daniel

Yep, that is one of the characteristics of the CX. My trim is always maxed out. I have learned to "hold the tail." You will notice that it is more pronounced the hotter the motors get. It is also more pronounced the hotter it is. I can tell a big difference in nose swing between the ambient temperatures of 70 and 100 degrees.

You can reduce the amount of nose swing by putting the heat sink on! This is the best suggestion I can offer.

I had also cut a few air holes in the canopy but I think I ruined the structural integrity and one crash really broke the canopy up. My newest canopy is intact.

I also found that flying in batches helps. If it is really hot I will fly for a few minutes then land and let the bird cool off for a few minutes. I found I could extend the actual flight time by doing this.

I tried putting the CX in the freezer to start off with a cooler motor but it did not work.

If you have a digital temperature gun, shoot your motors and see if you find more nose move when they are hotter.

You have to drill holes in your 4n1 with a hole in your canopy this will get rid of that problem..sounds weird but it works if your afraid with your canopies integrety you can add doublers inside of it to stiffened em up

Make sure both blades spin properly, they should both start spinning up at about the same time and speed.

I removed my 4 in 1 from the case entirely.

It is important that you initialize the 4 in 1 properly according to the manual (I had missed the part about not moving the helicopter while it was initializing)

I have heard that it helps to reinitialize things after the motors have warmed up as well.

p.s. new to this too but learning tons :)
