Personally,
I just got some of this stuff...whatever they took out of it to call it foam safe... they need ot put back in it and not call it foam safe....it sucks.

Agreed. Too stringy and it doesnt take kicker very well.

Hey bart what did you get. is it the stuff mac sells if so i've been using it for a while now no problems and the kicker works very fast with the stuff i have. mind you it's like $7.50 for a 2oz bottle. If you not in hurry the GWS foam glue works well just takes a while to dry.

Get yourself a hot glue gun Bart. Works great, but you have to be careful and not get it to hot or it melts the foam.

Yes, get the "Low Temp" Hot Glue Gun. I got mine for $3 with a package of sticks at Hobby Lobby.

Chris...Yeah I got a little bottl of the super-gold+ from Macs....1/2oz.
I like my six minute epoxy....Put my GWS corsair back together many of times...I just thought I would try the FS CA but ...not impressed...

I've been using it I think you got a BAD bottle. I have done many GWS repairs on my ME109 with the FS CA. the only problem with the epoxy is it adds weight. I love the stuff just COST alot for a little. But it's what you get used to I guess.

Epoxy is heavy as heck. My 30" Ultimate is getting to heavy to fly good after the last time I had to fix it. :(

Bart,

I use the foam-safe CA glue also and it works great - much lighter than epoxy. The kicker also works well and is very quick (just keep the kicker away from the glue bottle - I have seen several people use CA and place the "open" bottle on the table and then spray kicker. The problem is when the fine over-spray floats to the open CA bottle and causes it to become stringy thereby reducing its strength)

One of the keys to getting foamies to fly well is keeping them light for 3D - I only use epoxy in a few places and use the foam-safe as much as possible. Maybe you got a bad bottle. BTW, are you building the YAK from Rob? Post some pics if you can.
