Hopefully some of you have had a chance to see what the stock lepton does on 5S. Check out the vids in the video forum. I love this heli and very little has to be done to get it right (tail blades replaced for example).

My setup with A30-12XL was banged by 7 pilots at blacksheep and is the most 3D capable machine I have owned, and I have had a dozen birds.

Enjoy!

Mike

Yep I have to agree the Lepton is a really good E-heli... I enjoy mine but just want to TWEAK it more now that I have been flyin mine for awhile. Your right it doesnt need much to fly great! I just want MORE out of mine ;)

Have you tried the 12XL on 5s yet Bob?

Yeah, the color changes are a throw back to psychedilia and show my age :(

Thanks though Finless. You and Jon are on the leading edge.

Jon is right - if you haven't tried first - light paddles (HeliUp for rex) and second - 5S with the Jazz and low kev motor, you haven't tried this heli. Botos and I flew his 4S for a month and it was just 'ok'. Paddles change it dramatically and 5S gives it 90 power. Hell, we seriously have to tone down the cyclic or it's on crack.

The ONLY problem with this heli I haven't seen addressed - seems to be centerline CG. Thing balances exactly with a 5S pack with regular CG but will never roll quite axial without elevator input due to low CG on the frame.

With as compact a setup as this chopper is, I can't see a place to fix that by moving the pack.

Anyway, have fun boys and good choice on heli! Nothing wrong with tinkering either Finless - it's MORE than 1/2 the fun when you get to be my age....
