Just received my Duralite.

I just received my Duralite 4000 mah Battery and after installing it on my Raptor 50v2 I noticed my heli is now nose heavy.

I have the Quick UK rudder servo relocator on the boom just behind the frame.

My question is: Can I shorten the push rod and move the servo back until the heli is back into balance?

If so, is there any drawbacks to this?

What battery did you have in the heli before the Duralite 4000 mah pack?
The Duralite Plus 4000 mah pack weighs 6.5 ozs.

I personally would not move the tail servo back anymore. But that is just my preference. I prefer to keep the tail servo out of the exhaust stream if at all possible.

i went from a JR 1400 to the duralite 4000 in my rappy 50 and it actually HELPed the balance!

Where did you mount the pack -- if you put it under the tray you can slide it back a bit further (at the expense of making the glowplug harder to get too) and push the RX gov and whatever else you have on the tray as far back as possible.

should balance perfect with half a tank of fuel and a boom mounted servo about 1" from the tailboom atachment.

Duralite 4000 mah pack is probably just a couple of ozs heavier than the pack you had previous. I know when I changed packs, the 4 cell 2700 mah nimh pack weighed 5.7 ozs. The Duralite 4000 mah pack weighs 6.5 ozs. So the weight I added was minimum and really there was no change.

Man, I like my Duralite!!!!!!!!!

I flew 5 flights without charging and the battery is still "hot." Beats the heck out of the fly once and charge forever method I was using. I fill a lot better now, knowing I have one less thing to worry about. Now if I could just figure that reverse flight out.

good to hear: my 50 has standard servos (Except the tail) so there is hardly any voltage drop -- in fact first flight of the day itsometimes increases by .01 volts as the pack warms up :lol:
