Hi all,
I've got a 8.2cc trainer plane with a 152 cm wing.
my problem is that I want to take this plane to Thailand from the Netherlands.

so my question is: How can I make this wing in 2 pieces again, since it's been glued together with 2 component epoxy..

cause I can't take a 152 cm wing into the luggage area, kinda too long.

FEDEX.. or other shipping company.
epoxy can be removed with denatured alchohol, but you'll never get it to bond together again..

The other option is to saw the wing in half and install a removable wing joiner.

The wing joiner could be a piece of 5/16 or 8mm music wire around 12 inches or 300mm long with a piece of brass tube epoxied into each wing half. You would want to put this right on the spar. If there is a second spar farther back but a second joiner there.
Make up a new 1/8 plywood end rib for each wing half to finish it off.

I like the way Hangar 9 does their wings. 1 piece aluminum pipe just behind the spar, 1 smal dowel rod about 1 inch total for the trailing edge, and a plastic clip in the middle to keep it together.

Very easy to take apart and put together!

Merry Christmas Guys!
Couple questions...has anybody used their DX7 with Realflight G3 yet? If so which cable did you use?
Second...anybody know where I can find a Funtana for use on G3?

Thanks!
