I fly Raptors, but a buddy just got a great deal on a Venture 30 and I am trying to help him get it all set up. I have read most of the posts on here so I may have figured out some problems. What should the head speed be? The tail is wagging while hovering, but I have not tried to really tighten the belt, I will try that. He has a JR 500 gyro on it too, I am not use to that either, about where should the settings on it be, and in the transmitter? Seems like a good heli, I can't wait until we get it all set up.

I'm using woodies on mine. 1750-1800 keeps the wobbles away...very smooth. can't help w/gyro settings. I'm using a g410t strickly in rate mode.

Hi Cliff
I fly a Venture and I started out with the same problem with the tail, the way I fixed it was to turn down the gyro gain. You can do that in the radio program.
Tom
Jyro - Heading hold 65 and rate mode -65 on mine (but I never use rate mode).
Also turn the stick response down with dual rate (50%), set the rudder ATV to max and use the pot on the gyro to adjust the travel limit.
