EC3 Connector??

Okay, need some help here...
Prior to placing the new EC3 connector onto my batteries I found that I could not get the male or female sleeves to fit in their hole on the connector?? Any help would be apprectiated.

I place a small screwdriver tip against the bottom of the bullet and press the blue connector over the bullet - placing the other side of the screwdriver tip against a hard surface. Sometimes I use a soft hammer and give the connector a few taps and it pops in.
