All,
Some folks have had the 2 extra wires (on the 6 pin connector) pull out from the pack on Flight Power Evo 4900 packs. While this looks alarming there is really nothing to worry about. Those 2 wires are not used and are just taped inside the pack.

You can tuck them back in or just remove them from the 6 pin connector. Just lift the little pin tabs on the connector and pull the pins and wires out of the connector. Another choice is to just cut them off at the connector.

Hope this helps!
Bob

Hi Bob, First off let me say that your vids have been nothing short of an "inspiration" for my Trex450se and Trex600 builds. I continue to go back and double check everything against the famous Finless vids especially after a crash. So thank you so much for taking the time to do them for us! They keep me interested in building and maintaning top notch helis. :D

Ok, so I came across this post and was wondering if this is still applies for the current 2007 FP4900's? I see that the post was from a while back so I didnt know if FP made a change to the connector. I have the new Align Charger/Balancer and have been all confused about the number of wires on the Flight Power 4900 6s packs and what balance adapter to use with my new Align Balancer. John from Ready Heli has been helping me come up with a solution. But here it seems I'm ok because youre saying that the outer two wires on the larger plug are not used. If that's the case I think Im ok with the Align adapters I already have.

Thanks,
Kyle

They changed the packs so those extra wires wont pull out as easy. Other than that they are still not used.

Yes I did notice that last night, but as you said I was able to pull them right out and they were in fact disconnected. Now I can get the packs charged and balanced and finally put the 600 in the air! (Well at least for a few minutes) :arggg:

Thanks again Bob. As always you were right on with your advice!
