Just put my raptor in tonight and looks like the TT cf's are toast. I didn't like em anyway  I thought it auto'd poorly but that could just be me. It's just a practice heli to keep me from doing this to my Bergen. What are my options for mid-priced blades?

Out of that price range I like the TT blades.
The SAB's are nice, I REALLY like the Radix 600's though.

I thought the TT's auto'd well and flew well. The Mavrikk G4 Pro's aren't too bad either for general flying/some autos. -- in that price range
The regular Mavrikks are horrible (flex too much and slow down too much). I lost too much headspeed in a stall turn auto the other day, however, that could have been negative pitch and wind induced. :dontknow -- cheaper price range
I prefer my SAB's or MAH's, but usually take them off when practicing high risk auto's. I really prefer my VBlades the most for flying and autos, however, I'm too skerred to put them on like my SABs. I haven't tried Radix yet, but I'm sure I will at some point. -- best blade group though, just expensive comparitively
I carry quite a flew blades in my "mini hobby store" downstairs. I think I have about 8 pairs left right now (2 V, 1 SAB, 1 MAH, 3 woodies, 1 Mav G4), 9 if you include the regular Mavrikks that just chopped my boom last auto. I'm still learning stuff and I don't want to waste good blades on dumb thumbs.

I hear ya there, Clay. That's the whole reason for the raptor in the first place. Crash 2 sets of my 810mm V's would cost as much as I paid for the R50! It just might be the way my Intrepid EB autos with those 810's that makes me think the TT don't auto well.
I saw Heliproz has the G4's in a crash kit that includes most of what I'll be needing. I just finished the teardown.
Also, if anyone has an exploded view and disassembly procedure for the clutch. I seem to need some bearings. It's too loose for my liking.
Thanks

Found it on raptortechniques.

I had the starter shaft bearings go bad on my Rap50. Clutch bell was catching on the shoe. Originally thought it was bad engine alignment, but replaced the bearings and everything was fine after that.

Nothing to the point of catching just yet. I only really noticed because I was checking it over so well for damage. Looking at the TT blades, I noticed that there must be a weakness in the same spot as they both broke within mm of that spot. The is no evidence of a strike. Failure just seems to be from hard landing. About 150mm of each blade snapped off.

Ok, compared to ANY 600mm blades the 810's are going to be like glider flying in an auto. Hell you could probably thermal with them on the way down.

LOL
It does seem that way. I am comparing to the EB with the camera installed. All up around 22lbs. Without the camera you need a winch to bring it down
I realize the 600's aren't going to do that well but it seemed to drop head speed slower than I expected. Could (and likely is) be that it's just me

You throwing too much negative pitch at it?

Clay
Nope. I've tried to run autos with various pitch settings. Too little and too much were very noticable. I think I'm in the right range. Again, it just might be cadillac/chevy comparison. The EB just autos awesome. Maybe I should practice with the Bergen so I'm better on the rappy? :D Maybe when Greg moves out this way I can talk him into telling me what I'm doing wrong
